How to register for the BBO
The British Biology Olympiad is entered through schools and recognised educational institutions. Here’s how registration works for the China-region sitting (and the UK home competition).
Entry is through your school
Only recognised educational institutions may register students — state and independent schools, sixth-form and further-education colleges, and international schools. Private tutoring companies and online-only providers are not eligible to register.
Eligibility depends on your region: UK entrants are in Year 12–13; the China-region exam is open to any high-school year (note: UK residents cannot register for the China-region exam). Talk to your biology teacher or exams officer about entering, or contact us and we’ll help your school get set up.
